About
Backsight is a small group of people who started playing in the 1980s, on machines with one button and a joystick, and never stopped. We make games that owe something to the ones that made us, and we publish them on Steam under one name so that the way we work is the same from one title to the next.
What we played
Arcade cabinets, 8-bit home computers, the consoles that followed, and everything since. What stayed with us is not the look of those games but their economy: one screen that had to hold your attention, a rule you could learn in a minute and spend a month on, a sound for every thing that mattered. Each game's page names the one it owes the most to.
How we work
A game ships with a version number, release notes and a list of known problems. Bug reports and feature requests go to a public tracker, one per game, with a template for each; the feedback page says what happens next. Decisions taken with players are written up in the log, with the number of the issue that started them.
Where to find us
Steam is where the games are. Mail is hello@backsight.games. Security problems go to the address in security.txt.
